Okay, so it's not exciting or 'sexy', and it's about looking after yourself, which is usually our lowest priority, but it's important stuff, guys! We've gotta look after ourselves and make sure we can keep working for years to come. We try very hard to make training easy, cost-effective, and fun. Got questions, ask. Need to spread the payments?, no problem. Need us to come to you?, we can do that. There are others, we know, but we probably either managed them or taught them, so why go somewhere else? We are not expensive, we are friendly and professional, and we want to help you help yourself, not just take your money!
Adapted from the best aspects of Tai Chi, Lomi Lomi, yoga, and Western massage disciplines, IPM standard and bespoke advanced massage trainings address and prevent the risks of Occupational Overuse Injury / Work Related Upper Limb Disorders / RSI / back and neck pain.
We also design one-day workshops, lecture and taster evenings, and bespoke trainings for groups, companies and colleges. These are tailored to the demands and skill levels of the requesting organisation and can be held at our venues or at venues anywhere in the UK. Several prestigious and blue chip companies have contacted us for advice, information, and training.
IPM re-introduces practitioners to proper body awareness and mechanics to protect backs and necks from injury resulting from a demanding treatment schedule as well as introduces treatment alternatives to the use of hands for delivering strokes and manipulations.
Our basic training is taught in two phases - Level 1 and Level 2. The Level 1 course can stand on its own without the need to attend the second course in order to integrate new techniques into a practitioner's work. The Level 2 course, however, offers practitioners several treatment options that make possible a complete shift in working habits if desired or required to continue in practice.
Tied for time? Unsure about costs? - before committing to our courses, see our training and techniques for yourself in the comfort of your own home with the unique IPM DVD.
In accordance with our teaching philosophies, all of our trainers are dedicated practicing bodyworkers that have attended all of our trainings through to trainer level and use these techniques in their own work regularly. We believe in teaching adults on an adult level, maximising individual tuition through small course sizes, and allowing attendees to learn through the way they learn best, at their own pace. All of our courses and trainers’ CVs are vetted by external industry bodies; external verification has set our courses at equivalent to NVQ Level 3 minimum.
As you can imagine, we are constantly asked “can I become an IPM trainer after I’ve been on the level 1 course?”. The simple answer is no; our trainers attend both Level 1 and Level 2 courses, undergo our comprehensive Train the Trainer course (and no, we don’t charge them for that privilege!), shadow both Level 1 and 2 courses with our existing trainers, and are constantly assessed once they are out there delivering our training courses!
If you have what it takes to become an IPM trainer – call us on 0845 017 0533 – due to rapid expansion we are looking for new trainers for training centres across the UK – we look forward to hearing from you!
