This new initiative is open to all schools and colleges (etc) who want their students to learn about the essentials of RSI-free massage techniques; we are offering 2-hour to half day workshop sessions from just £20 per person (based on a workshop of 15 students - minimum charge £300) or a full-day workshop for just £30 per person (based on a minimum number of 12 students - minimium charge £360)
The workshops cover the essentials of correct posture, the basics of Injury Prevention Massage techniques and an interactive, practical session to allow students to get to grips with these career-saving techniques. The cost includes attendance certificates for all participants and a hand-out covering all techniques and exercises taught on the day.
“We are tremendously excited at having the opportunity to bring Injury Prevention techniques to students” our MD Jennifer Longmore said in a recent PR article, “it is important that students learn about the dangers of RSI and what can be done about preventing those dangers at this stage of their careers – so that they don’t need us later on when they become injured through massage work!”
Although our standard courses are right for the majority of the general therapist public, it is not unusual for us to receive requests for something a bit different. These requests vary from putting together informal general information 1/2-day or evening talks for professional groups and colleges to designing specific full-day intensive workshops for corporate clients with demanding schedule constraints.
Our workshops are perfect options for CPD point gain - we are currently working with more than 20 different professional organisations to get on their approved CPD lists. They are also a wonderful way for groups of individuals to pool their resources and introduce themselves to the techniques and philosophies of IPM - take them for a test drive - before making the investment of time and money to attend a Level 1 training.
We are especially happy to speak to newly qualified or nearly qualified student therapists - it is vital to introduce them to injury prevention ideas early in their careers!
